How we sell to you, how a contract is formed, and what happens if something goes wrong. Part B covers your rights as a consumer, Part C covers business customers.
Last updated 27 August 2026
Please read these terms carefully before ordering. They tell you who we are, how we will supply products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information.
This website is operated by Workplace Solutions Group Ltd, trading as Office Furniture Store UK.
"We", "us" and "our" mean Office Furniture Store UK. "You" means the person or business placing an order.
If you tell us at checkout that you are buying on behalf of a business, or you ask us to invoice a business, or you give us a VAT number, we will treat you as a business customer.
Where Part B and Part C differ, the one that applies to you takes priority over Part A.
Placing an order on our website is an offer to buy, not a completed contract.
We take care over our product descriptions, images and dimensions, but images are for illustration. The colour of a product on your screen depends on your monitor and we cannot guarantee an exact match.
Wood grains, fabric weaves and finishes vary naturally between batches. Slight variation is not a fault. We can send swatches on request, and we would rather send one than have you guess.
Dimensions and specifications come from our manufacturers and are a guide. If a measurement is critical to your space, confirm it with us before you order.
Where a product is made to order, the product page says so and gives the lead time.
We may make minor changes to a product to reflect changes in law, safety requirements or a manufacturer's specification, where these do not materially affect your use of it. We may withdraw a product from sale at any time.
All prices are shown in pounds sterling.
Prices shown on this website exclude VAT. On each product page we show both the price excluding VAT and the price including VAT at the prevailing rate, so you can see what you will actually pay before you add anything to your basket. VAT is added to your order at checkout and is itemised there and on your invoice before you confirm. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date we supply the goods, we will adjust the VAT you pay unless you have already paid in full.
Delivery charges, and any pre-build or installation charges, are shown separately at checkout before you pay, and VAT is added to those in the same way. Our Delivery and Installation page sets out our standard charges, including the five pound surcharge on orders under thirty pounds and the fifteen pound minimum order charge on orders of fewer than four items.
Payment is taken in full when you place your order, at the point you complete checkout. If we have agreed credit terms with you in writing we will invoice you instead, and clause 25 applies.
It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, a product is mispriced. If the correct price at the date of your order is higher than the price stated, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it. We will not supply at the wrong price without telling you.
Our delivery charges, lead times, geographic coverage and access requirements are set out in full on our Delivery and Installation page, which forms part of these terms.
Goods are delivered to your main access point or kerbside unless you have bought a pre-build or installation service.
Your rights to cancel and return, which differ for consumers and business customers, are set out in full on our Returns and Refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
Bespoke and made-to-order goods are non-returnable other than where they are faulty or not as described.
Neither of us is responsible for failing to perform, or for delay in performing, any obligation under the contract where that is caused by an event outside our reasonable control. This includes extreme weather, fire, flood, industrial action, failure of transport networks, supplier failure and acts of government.
If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as we can, and where the delay is substantial either of us may end the contract and we will refund you for goods not supplied.
You may use this website to browse our range and place orders. You may not:

Please keep your account details, including your email address and delivery address, accurate and up to date so that we can fulfil your orders and contact you.

We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law or in how we operate. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this page at the time you place it, so please save or print a copy when you order.
Changes do not apply retrospectively to contracts already formed.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you and we both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts and you benefit from any mandatory consumer protection law of your home jurisdiction.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. In particular:
Summaries of your rights are available from Citizens Advice.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if at the time the contract was made both of us knew it might happen.
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes our liability for:
We are not responsible for losses arising from your use of the goods for a business purpose. We have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
You may end the contract at any time before delivery if we have told you about an error in the price or description and you do not wish to proceed, if there is a risk that supply will be significantly delayed by events outside our control, or if we have breached the contract in any material way.
We may end the contract if you do not make a payment when due and still do not make it within 7 days of us reminding you, or if you do not, within a reasonable time, allow us to deliver or provide access for installation.
This part applies where you are buying in the course of a trade, business, craft or profession. The consumer protections in Part B do not apply to you, including the 14-day cancellation right.
You confirm that you have authority to bind the business on whose behalf you order.
These terms apply to the exclusion of any other terms that you seek to impose or incorporate, including anything printed on your purchase order or in your own conditions of purchase.
Any quotation we give is valid for 30 days from its date, unless it says otherwise.
Risk in the goods passes to you on completion of delivery. Title does not pass until we have received payment in full.
Delivery dates given for business orders are estimates. Time of delivery is not of the essence unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
You must inspect the goods on delivery and notify us of any shortage, damage or obvious defect in writing within 7 days of delivery. If you do not, the goods are deemed accepted.
You must provide safe, clear and reasonable access for delivery and installation. Where we cannot complete delivery or installation because access details you gave us were inaccurate, or the site was not ready, or other trades were still working in the space, we may charge you our reasonable costs of the abortive visit and of re-attendance.
If a booked installation is cancelled with less than 72 hours' notice, a cancellation charge may apply.
Returns are at our discretion and must be authorised in writing before goods are sent back. Collection charges apply. Bespoke and made-to-order goods are non-returnable. See our Returns and Refunds page.
Payment is taken in full at the point of order, when you complete checkout. We do not currently offer credit accounts or invoiced payment terms through this website.
If your organisation needs a credit account, contact us on 0208 103 4875 or at info@officefurniturestoreuk.co.uk and we will discuss it with you separately. Any credit facility is subject to status and to separate written terms, which will govern payment for orders placed under it.
Where we have agreed credit terms in writing, payment is due within the period stated on our invoice. We may charge interest on overdue sums at 2% per month, accruing daily, and where we have to instruct a third party to recover payment you are liable for our reasonable third party and internal recovery costs in addition to any court and enforcement fees. You may not withhold or set off any amount against sums due to us.
Title to the goods remains with us until we have received payment in full. Until then we may repossess the goods, and you grant us permission to enter the premises where they are held in order to collect them.
We warrant that on delivery the goods will conform in all material respects with their specification and will be free from material defects in material and workmanship. All products carry a minimum 12 month manufacturer's warranty, and many of our ranges carry considerably longer. The product page or your quotation will confirm the period.
Warranty claims are handled on a replacement part basis. The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow assembly or care instructions, or alteration or repair carried out without our approval.
If a valid warranty claim is made we will, at our option, repair or replace the goods or refund the price. This is our only liability for goods not conforming with the warranty.
This clause limits our liability to business customers. Please read it carefully.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that:
We may end the contract with immediate effect by written notice if you fail to pay any amount when due, if you commit a material breach and do not remedy it within 14 days of being asked, or if you become insolvent, enter administration or liquidation, or cease trading.
