The instinct is to buy one large panel and put it on the loudest wall. Sound bounces between every surface in a room, so a single panel treats one reflection and leaves the rest.

The three formats
- Wall tiles mount flat and double as a wall finish, so they earn their place visually as well as acoustically.
- Ceiling baffles hang overhead, which is often the only free surface in a glazed office and puts absorption directly above the noise.
- Hanging acoustics suspend without fixing to walls, which matters in a leased building where alterations are restricted.
What panels will not do
They absorb sound within a space; they do not block it between spaces. A panel will make a room less echoey and take the edge off conversation. It will not stop a phone call being audible across an open floor.
For that you need enclosure: privacy booths and pods, or desk and floor screens at the desk itself.
