Height is what makes it a coffee table
These sit low, at roughly the seat height of the sofa beside them. That is deliberate: they are for putting a cup, a laptop or a magazine down, not for working at.
If people will actually work at it, a low table is the wrong buy and a standard height breakout table is the right one.
Disc base or cross base
A disc base is a single column on a round foot: easier to clean around and less to catch feet on. A cross base spreads the load across four arms, which is more stable under an off-centre load but puts something where somebody's feet want to go.
For a table beside a sofa, disc usually wins. For a larger top, cross is steadier.
Buy it with the seating
