Chairs for rooms that change use
Chairs that stack away when the room becomes something else. Training rooms, canteens, halls and event spaces all need seating that can disappear, and that requirement changes what you should buy.
Check the stack height before you order forty
This is the detail that catches people out. A chair that stacks ten high is useless if your store cupboard has a two metre ceiling and you needed to stack fifteen. Work out how many you need to store, how high they stack, and whether the resulting stack fits through the door of the room you plan to keep it in.
It is also worth checking whether they stack on a trolley. Moving forty chairs by hand is a job nobody volunteers for twice.
Comfort is a real trade
Stacking chairs are lighter and thinner than fixed seating, because that is what makes them stack. For a two hour training session that is noticeable. If your training room hosts full days, consider whether the room genuinely needs to clear, or whether you have been storing chairs out of habit.
Where sessions run long, visitor and conference chairs with proper padding are the better call.
