Coat storage and the odds and ends
Coat storage and the items that do not sit neatly anywhere else, currently the Space Saver five hook coat rail.
Wall mounted beats freestanding
A wall rail takes no floor area, which is usually the deciding factor in a small reception or entrance lobby. A freestanding coat stand occupies about half a square metre and tends to migrate into a walkway.
It is also more stable. Loaded coat stands fall over, particularly the tall thin ones.
Put it where people arrive
Coats end up on the back of chairs when the rail is not on the route in. Near the door, near the lockers, or near reception is where a rail actually gets used.
