Glass tops in a reception
Glass looks sharp and shows every fingerprint and coffee ring, in the one area of the building where you least want either. It is a legitimate choice if someone is cleaning reception daily, and a poor one if nobody is.
Scale to the space
Reception furniture is usually bought too large. A generous sofa in a modest lobby leaves nowhere to walk and makes the space feel smaller than it is. Measure the walking routes first, then furnish what is left.
