The genuine advantage
Stand-up meetings stay short, and they stay short precisely because nobody is sitting down. A poseur table in a breakout area is one of the cheapest ways to change how a team meets.
They also work well as overflow surface at events and as informal touchdown points near a kitchen or entrance.
Match the stools, or do not buy stools
A poseur table needs high stools, and the height difference between poseur and standard is not something you can absorb with a cushion. Our stools and draughtsman chairs and cafe and bistro seating cover the right heights.
Equally, a poseur table with no seating at all is a legitimate choice for a space meant for brief stops.
Where they fail
As the only option in a canteen. People eating lunch want to sit properly, and a room entirely at poseur height gets used for coffee and abandoned at midday.
