Why specify a whole range rather than pick parts
Because the parts are designed against each other. The screens bracket to the Air frame, the cable spines are sized to the Air travel, and the linking bars fit Air back-to-back runs. Mixing manufacturers here means discovering at installation that a bracket does not fit.
It also means a floor can grow. Adding four more desks in a year gets you the same finish and the same mechanism rather than a visible second generation.
