The most open desk frame we make
Desks on a cantilever frame, where the leg curves back from a single upright and leaves the space beneath the desk clear. The most open of our three leg types, and the one that makes a floor feel least cluttered.
What the open frame buys you
Legroom without obstruction, which matters more than it sounds when a chair has arms and someone needs to swing in and out. It also lets a cleaner get under the desk properly, which is why cantilever is common in offices with contract cleaning.
Visually, a floor of cantilever desks reads as lighter than the same floor in panel ends, because you can see through to the far wall.
What it costs you
Modesty and cable routing. There is no panel to hide legs or bags, and no enclosed void to run cables down, so cables need a separate spine or tray.
If either matters, panel end desks give a side screen as part of the frame and cable managed legs route power inside the upright.
Where it suits best
Hot desking and flexible floors, where chairs move constantly and nobody owns a position. Also smaller offices, where the visual lightness genuinely helps.
Available across straight, corner and crescent tops in the Impulse range.
